Established in 1991, Avon House was one of the first care homes in the area to specialize in Dementia care. the Home is located in a quiet street not far from the sea front. Staff are highly trained in dementia care. We provide a friendly, caring and homely atmosphere, encouraging our residents to lead an active, dignified and independent life.

All communal areas are newly furnished and provide a comfortable home where the ambiance is uplifting and residents and staff are happy in their surroundings.

The residents' rooms are situated on the ground and first floors. Rooms are fully furnished but residents are encouraged to personalise them with their own belongings if they wish. We have a lift between the two floors which will take a wheelchair and a carer.

The Home has two lifting hoists and other lifting and handling equipment to ensure correct movement of residents requiring assistance.

We have a garden to the rear of the house where raised beds have been built so that those who wish can help with the growing of flowers, herbs etc. The commercial laundry room provides a full and inclusive laundry service.
