The Innovate Centre

The Innovate Centre offers a social centre to the elderly population who are isolated and who require stimulation and company of others during the day. Our aim is to provide social and mental stimulation and to improve quality of life, independence and confidence. We welcome both able and frail people over 60 years old to engage in the vast range of activities we have on offer daily. We work alongside local councils, social services, Age UK and other professional organisations, receiving referrals for clients who are in need of a local social centre.

The Innovate Centre operates four days per week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00am to 4.00pm, offering clients structured activities that change daily to exercise the body and brain and outings to places of interest are offered. We organise outside groups and professionals to come in to the centre and give demonstrations, discuss various topics from health and diet related matters to finance, and other subjects of general interest such as Pets as Therapy and the Metropolitan Police. We also provide musical entertainment on a regular basis and an in-centre Chiropody Service.
