Our Home

Eagle House is a purpose built care home, dedicated to the care of elderly residents with varying degrees of Dementia. Many features within the home have been updated for this specific use - making the environment safe and secure. Since the whole place is a dedicated dementia home, residents are allowed in all common parts and are not restricted. We strongly recognise that Eagle House should become a "home" for our residents and allow them the freedom and choice that they deserve. In following the principles of the Mental Capacity Act, we encourage and support residents to make their own choices. This may be in the food they eat, their room décor, the activities they participate in, etc. Promoting independence is integral in the care they are given. Where decisions have to be made for them, they are done so in their best interest.

Our Staff

Our staff are qualified to well above the minimum requirements. All staff are CRB checked upon commencement of employment. Staff are trained to NVQ2 with seniors having NVQ3 in Social Care. Majority of staff have achieved Level 3 in Palliative Care which is accredited by OCR, with the rest in the process of completing. Their commitment and dedication makes Eagle House the home that it is. We actively encourage and arrange training and continual improvement in their skill sets. We strive to incorporate new findings in dementia care by taking input from outside bodies such as The Alzheimer's Society, Social Care Institute for Excellent, Department of Health, Mental Capacity Act, Residents and Relatives Forum etc. By integrating these recommendations, we are able to achieve, more effectively, our ethos..
