What our customers say

Mr P: "I want to really thank you for the literal 'Lifeline' you gave my father during his life. The assurance, comfort and peace of mind it gave him, and myself, was immeasurable."

Miss B: "I have epilepsy and am a single parent. On a couple of occasions the Lifeline has been just that, when I've had seizures in bath, as my son would not have coped without it."

Mrs D: "After two years without needing to use it, I seriously thought about giving up Lifeline - then I had a fall in my bedroom and could not get up. Thank goodness I was wearing my Lifeline pendant."

Miss P: "I don't have a story to tell - yet. My pendant just gives me peace of mind. I have no family living close that I could call upon in an emergency but my pendant gives a feeling of security. I can talk to someone immediately if I ever need help."

What is Lifeline?

Lifeline is a personal alarm system that provides a link between you and the people you can rely on 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Lifeline has a unit and red button to press in an emergency. This red button can be worn as a pendant or around your wrist.

How it works

To raise an alarm call, press the red button on the pendant you wear, or on the unit, this calls the care centre automatically.

Speak to care centre staff using the powerful microphone and speaker in the base unit.

They will know who your chosen contacts and key holders are and call the appropriate help for you. Even if you can't talk to them, help will be on its' way.

Who is it for?

Lifeline is for anyone of any age who may need help without warning.

Here are just a few examples of where a Lifeline could help: if you've got a history of falls, if you have been discharged from hospital recently, if you've got a long term health condition or a short term illness, or if you live alone and feel vulnerable.

If you had an accident in your home would you be able to get to your own phone? Would the people you are ringing be home? Having a Lifeline would mean you wouldn't need to worry. Just press the red button and the care centre is there to take your call and get the right help for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It doesn't matter if you're a tenant or own your own home - you can rent the Lifeline and telecare for as long as you need them.

Included in the price

The rental charge includes free installation, an annual service visit, maintenance of the equipment and the services of our care centre and Lifeline team.

In exceptional circumstances extra equipment may be needed before a Lifeline can be installed.

You'll need to make sure you have a working telephone line and pay the phone company for the cost of telephone calls and line rental.

How can telecare help?

Telecare products are sensors and detectors that work with a Lifeline. They are designed to spot when things change at home. If a detector or sensor is triggered it will activate the Lifeline to automatically call the care centre with no need to push the red button

There are both personal monitors and environmental sensors that offer protection 24 hours a day and can help to manage risks at home.

Personal packages

Before fitting any telecare products in your home we'll discuss your needs and what you want to achieve. This makes sure the equipment suits you and your lifestyle.

What's available

Here are just some of the options available:

Personal monitors

Fall detector

A small light weight pendant that allows users to press a help button to make an alarm call when they need help anywhere in their own home, but it also provides an added layer of protection by automatically calling for assistance if it detects a fall.

Medication dispenser

This automatically dispenses medication and provides both a sound and visual alert to the user each time medication should be taken. If the user fails to take the medication, the care centre is alerted.

Bed / chair occupancy sensor

The pressure pad fits under a mattress or chair seat and provides an early warning that the user has left their bed or chair and not returned within a pre-set time period, indicating a possible fall. This sensor can also be programmed to switch on lights. Helping people find their way to and from bed easily.

Environmental sensors

Carbon Monoxide Detector

The wireless CO detector detects dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and raises an automatic alarm call to the Care Centre.

Heat detector

The wireless heat detector provides additional protection against the risk of fires in rooms where smoke detectors are unsuitable e.g. kitchen.

Flood detector

The flood detector is a neat, unobtrusive sensor that provides an early warning of potential flood situations. The unit can be placed on the floor under a sink or in a bathroom near the bath.

Firelink smoke detectors (in association with West Sussex Fire and Rescue)

A smoke alarm linked to a Lifeline. If the smoke alarm is set off the Lifeline contacts the care centre automatically.

Bogus caller / panic button

Put next to the front door or bed, the button can be pressed to raise an alarm if a bogus caller or burglar is suspected. The care centre can listen in to the situation and intervene, perhaps calling the police if necessary. As the care centre can be heard, this often deters potential intruders.
