Adka Independence are a newly formed "not for profit" organisation based in Hull and covering the East Yorkshire region. The organization aims to provide services specifically for adults with:

• Learning difficulties
• Physical disabilities
• Challenging behaviour
• Autistic spectrum disorders

We realise there is a need to focus on an individual approach to support, which leads to people reaching their maximum potential and being able to attain full citizenship.

Adka Independence consists of an experienced management team, whose aim is to develop services that will have at its forefront the assessed needs of the person receiving support, enabling individuals to participate fully in everyday activities and values we all take for granted.

The service will be person centred, giving each person choice, respect, community presence and participation, and giving individuals opportunities to build relationships. We are aiming to put individuals in control."
