Our Home

Cumberworth Lodge in an independent private Care Home situated in Graizelound, Haxey. The home was established in 1986 and has remained under the same ownership. The home stands in approximately three acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, lawns and orchard. It is within reach of local shops, post office, public houses and the church. Cumberworth Lodge is committed to provide a high quality, cost effective, personal and social care to all individuals over the age of 65 requiring short/long term respite, rehabilitation and day care. The home can accommodate 26 residents in single rooms, some with en-suite facilities. It is also registered to provide Dementia care for up to 5 Service users.

The home management recognises that in order to provide a comprehensive range of quality services to residents and their families it needs to provide training and management support to all staff. A goal-directed outcome based Quality Assurance Programme provides methods of identifying potential problem areas which could affect the clients care, health, welfare and safety. All our residents at Cumberworth Lodge have an individual Person Centred Care Plan. Each resident is allocated a Key Worker who is responsible for monitoring, reviewing and coordinating the individuals care needs.

Philosophy of Care

At Cumberworth Lodge we believe that clients using our services have the right, irrespective of age or disability to- be respected as individuals with specific needs, keep their independence and maintain their dignity, understand their treatment and care and participate in their care plan whenever possible, have their wishes taken into account, maintain close contact with family friends and the local community, have their privacy respected, take risks and make decisions, expect all information about them and their care to be kept confidential.

Our Staff

Our Home is staffed in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 18 of Care Homes Regulations 2001. In particular, there will be suitably qualified, competent and experienced staff, in sufficient numbers as is appropriate to meet the needs and welfare of individuals.
In addition, the Homes staffing requirements has been approved by Care Quality Commission as part of the process of registration of the Care Home. As well as undertaking the mandatory training courses our staff have specialist training in End of Life and Dementia.
