About this provider

Croydon Mencap is an independent registered charity working with and for adults with learning disabilities, children with special needs as well as their carers, who reside in the London Borough of Croydon. We run a wide range of support and advice services across the Borough.

These include:
• Playgroups with support for parents of young children with special needs.
• Playgroups with support for parents of Down’s Syndrome children.
• Evening and weekend social clubs and leisure activities for adults with learning disabilities
• Support in maintaining a healthy and independent lifestyle through a variety of creative, sports weekday sessions from our day activities hub, also for adults with learning disabilities
• Welfare rights and Care Act advice and support, coffee mornings and social outings for carers of children and adults with learning disabilities

We also advocate, lobby and campaign to make life better and easier for people with learning disabilities, their families and carers.
